Amotekun arrestes 17 northerners with 35 pet dogs, charms, cutlasses in Ondo [IMAGES]
No less than 17 middle-aged guys from the northern part of the nation who showed up in Ondo State with 35 appeals, pets and cutlasses have been captured.
The northerners who stormed Okititpupa town, head office of Okitipupa Local Government Area of the state were arrested after failing to reveal their mission in the state.
Following the arrival in the state, the residents of Okitipupa raised the alarm as their movement within the town ended up being suspicious.
According to the Commander of Amotekun in the state, Akogun Adetunji Adeleye, the northerners mentioned that someone invited them to the state whom they did not understand.
“They were individuals who claimed to have originated from the northern part of the nation with beauties, pets and cutlasses and individuals of Okitipupa location who were not comfortable with them raised the alarm.
“But on interrogation, they claimed they were welcomed to Okutupupa by someone which they are actually working for the person. All efforts to reach the person they claimed to work for have not yielded any outcome till date.
“However, we wish to caution homeowners to be watchful when they see what I will call strange things. We have more than 30 canines among able bodied guys who don’t even know where they are going. They declared they were dropped in Okitipupa by a car which the automobile had actually left.
“This requires an extremely major issue taking a look at the really serious security scenario in the country.
“Investigation into who brought them and their real mission is still continuous. They were trying to get in the forest behind the military barracks in Okitipupa when they were arrested.”
