2023: Dele Momodu rejects endorsing Tinubu for president

Dele Momodu, a presidential aspirant, on Saturday, denied backing Bola Tinubu, National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 presidency. Momodu accused Tinubu’s media handlers of “fumbling” through inexpensive projects.

He was responding to the flow of an old article he wrote in favour of the APC National Leader two years earlier.

In a declaration he provided, Momodu, who is contending for the Presidency on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, said those rehatching the post has made him their latest victim.

According to Momodu: “In all honesty, I do not understand who the media handlers of ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU are however I can fairly verify that they’ve been fumbling too much by being so low-cost, jejune and unimaginative in their campaigns.

“Are they not embarrassed that numerous individuals, consisting of the highly regarded DR AKINWUMI ADESINA of the African Development Bank, have openly rejected backing TINUBU for the 2023 Presidential election because of this unfortunate desperation to sell him as the only prospect of APC in 2023?

“Now, I’m their newest victim. A post I wrote two years ago about TINUBU has actually unexpectedly become a fresh endorsement in 2022. What chicanery is this? While I have significant regard for ASIWAJU BOLA AHMED TINUBU, his handlers have no right to participate in pure mischief by abusing our relationship.

“They’ve even made pamphlets of my short article. However unidentified to them, a great deal of water has passed under the bridge considering that I wrote that short article and I have my sound reasons for not signing up with APC.”
