Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, has exposed claims that he has endorsed the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Pictures of Soyinka and Tinubu went viral on Wednesday after the previous Lagos State Governor declared his governmental ambition.

The post, which first trended in 2021, priced quote Soyinka as saying, “I have never included myself in politics or campaign for any political leader but in 2023 I will be involved in politics and project for a longtime good friend in 1993 NADECO struggle.”

Soyinka in a statement entitled, “Season of Fakery Galore,” dismissed the post as fake news, encouraging the public to neglect it.

Part of the declaration read, “Here we go once again. One can only hope that the general public has discovered to recognize Fake News and participate the immediate job of exposing and disgracing these despicable touts.”
