I’ve not considered 2023 elections– Soyinka denies backing Tinubu

Nobel laureate, Wole Soyinka, has exposed claims that he has endorsed the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu. Pictures of Soyinka and Tinubu went viral on Wednesday after the previous Lagos State Governor declared his governmental ambition.

The post, which first trended in 2021, priced quote Soyinka as saying, “I have never included myself in politics or campaign for any political leader but in 2023 I will be involved in politics and project for a longtime good friend in 1993 NADECO struggle.”

Soyinka in a statement entitled, “Season of Fakery Galore,” dismissed the post as fake news, encouraging the public to neglect it.

Part of the declaration read, “Here we go once again. This very same boring, illiterate public trespassers who do not have the nerve of their conviction and should take the identities of their betters. One can only hope that the general public has discovered to recognize Fake News and participate the immediate job of exposing and disgracing these despicable touts.”

Soyinka kept in mind that he has actually not thought about the 2023 presidential election or endorsing any candidate for the position.

“For the avoidance of doubt, I have actually not even thought about 2023, much less placed candidates into coveted positions. The signature of this most current idiot is familiar as she or he does not even understand the distinction in between ‘Laureate and Laurel.’

“This is an ancient forgery being recycled for the umpteenth time. Those who pass it round do themselves and their receivers a disservice. Find something beneficial to occupy your time.

“In any case, we have no service with politics in the land of the dead, and the most current details I have on me is that I died sometime last year,” the declaration read.
