JSS 3 trainee passes away after leaping through window in Ondo

Two days after resuming for the 2nd term academic session, a JSS 3 student of CAC Grammar School, Akure, Ondo State capital, has lost his life within the school properties.

The 16-year-old trainee, Emmanuel Ojo, was stated to have died while having fun with his mates during school hours on Tuesday.

According to sources within the school, Emmanuel passed away when he struck his head on the bare floor while trying to jump through the window

Following the event, his friends raised the alarm, which attracted the teachers and principal of the school who instantly rushed him to the school clinic, however were encouraged to take him to the General Hospital after the preliminary treatment.

The trainee was pronounced dead on arrival after the school management hurried him to the University of Medical Science Teaching Hospital, Akure.

With his good friends and colleagues explaining him as a dazzling, easy-going and reserved boy, the daddy of the deceased, a shepherd at CAC, Oke-Iyanu, High School area in Akure, Pastor Joshua Ojo, explained the event as a terrible blow of fate on the household.

The bereaved daddy stated he might not query God why He enabled it to take place to him.

On her part, the Principal of CAC Grammar School, Akure, Mrs. Oluwapelumi Adetimehin, said the school community was saddened by the loss, despite efforts made by the school authority to conserve the life of the appealing trainee.

On the other hand, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology in the State, Mr Olufemi Agagu, has condoled with the household of the deceased over the incident.

The Commissioner, accompanied by the Permanent Secretary, Mrs. Lola Amuda, and other officials of the ministry, stated the state federal government was actually hurt by the death of the trainee and urged the parents to accept the situation as the will of God at the moment, though unpleasant.
