A notorious armed robber, known as Getay, who has actually been on the wanted list of the Delta State Police Command, is

dead. He passed away after sustaining injuries during a weapon battle between his gang and the authorities.

Getay died at a health center he was required to for treatment.

The cops recovered one cut-to-size double barrel gun, one live cartridge and 2 used up cartridges.

The command confirmed the report in a statement signed by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Bright Edafe.

The police image maker said, “In the occurring weapon battle, Getay who is the leader of the gang continual gunshot injuries and was taken to the health center where he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment.”

He noted that,”Investigation is continuous.”
