Champions League: Chelsea gamers understand UEFA will ban them– Tuchel
Chelsea manager, Thomas Tuchel, has admitted that players yet to receive COVID-19 vaccination are ready for the”effects “, with UEFA set to ban them from the away leg of their Champions League tie
at Lille. The Blues deal with the Ligue 1 champions at Stamford Bridge on February 22 with the return leg on March 16.
France has hardened its COVID guidelines, specifying that all expert athletes contending in the country must be immunized.
“They [the gamers] are aware of it.
“And eventually, everybody who is not vaccinated will face some consequences. Does that make it wrong that they are not?
“I’m not so sure about it. I just do not know, I took my choice for myself. For us isolated as a club, isolated as a football team, there can be substantial repercussions.
“For example, if gamers are not permitted to take a trip to France, this can create issues for us in not having the ability to utilize crucial gamers.
“We are aware of it. It is a consistent sound, a continuous noise,” Tuchel said ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Tottenham.
