Two individuals have been verified dead in a septic tank in Rumuekini neighborhood in Obio Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. The two individuals thought to be “daddy and boy” died on Saturday, while attempting to manually leave the material of the septic tank.

They were said to have been choked to death with the odour from the sewage-disposal tank.

Eyewitnesses said the guy started choking while inside the tank prior to his son entered to rescue him but they both passed away while doing so when help stopped working to come.

The eye witnesses said the odor of kerosene from the tank might have triggered the death.

In the meantime, some police personnel from the Choba cops divisional headquarters have actually left the remains from the area while the state authorities command is yet to provide a declaration on the occurrence.
