< img src="https://eyewitness101.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/accusing-opposition-leaders-in-zamfara-of-sponsoring-banditry-mischievous-senator-marafa.jpg"class ="ff-og-image-inserted"> A faction of the All Progressives Congress(APC)has warned against using the security challenges in Zamfara to intimidate and blackmail perceived political opponents of today administration in the state.

The faction devoted to Senator Kabir Marafa specified this on Thursday, saying the recent happenings in Zamfara State demanded the call to stop the dishonest and ungodly association of politics with insecurity and religion.

In a statement which was signed by the Spokesman of Senator Marafa-led faction, Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun and sent out to DAILY POST, he discussed that in the last number of months, every week comes with one controversy or the other emerging from the mischief of accusing leading opposition political figures.

The declaration averred that there have sustained projects of calumny shrouded in religious beliefs and insecurity against some individuals in the state.

He said: “The most current of those circumstances was the posters of former Governor Abdul’Aziz Yari and 2 of his loyalists with Mal. Ibraheem El- ZakZaky showed in strategic places within the state.

“Our understanding is that this is a cowardly act to develop an incorrect association between the previous guv and the Shi’ite leader to score a low-cost political point from public antagonism to the group.

“Earlier last week, official interaction from someone providing himself as the APC scribe of the government faction implicated General Aliyu Gusau of aiding banditry to secure his mining financial investments.

“We made a public statement condemning the action and distanced ourselves from the declaration because of the effort to connect it with the celebration for which we are all stakeholders and the due respect to the elder statesman although we are from different political celebrations.

“Before then, a particular individual was jailed wearing a jersey with the picture of Senator Marafa throughout the military strike against the outlaws and that was used as a news item in mushroom online media for another low-cost blackmail.

“Other associated allegations were made and advertised against Hon. Muttaka Rini and Dauda Lawal Dare and all were from the opposing camps of the APC which all of us think about condemnable.

“In the Zamfara State House of Assembly, 2 members from Bakura and Anka were accused of helping banditry and suspended from your home without a reasonable hearing. Both of them turned down the accusation and got themselves recorded taking the oath arbitrarily imposed on public authorities using the Qur’an to exonerate themselves from the allegation.”

The declaration stated the APC faction viewed the development as an invite to anarchy which is unfavorable at this time, prompting government and all citizens to be joined in tackling insecurity genuinely.

“On behalf of Distinguished Senator Marafa (CON), we condemn these acts of mischief in totality and consider them efficient in intensifying the security circumstance of the state. These unwarranted accusations and their perpetrators are ungodly, afraid and unethical”, the statement concluded.
