The previous law enforcement officer who signed up with politics years earlier, passed away at the age of 71.

Alao, who objected to the gubernatorial election on the platform of Alliance for Democracy (ADVERTISEMENT) in 2019, has described the death of Alao-Akala as stunning.

Alao, who just recently joined APC, said that the death is an excellent loss, not simply to the APC in the state but the entire country.

Alao said that his last encounter with the previous guv remained in his Bodija, Ibadan house, last December where he motivated him to sign up with the APC prior to completion of the year.

He explained Alao-Akala as a senior statesman who contributed tremendously to the advancement of the state, specifying that his wealth of experience as a politician would be considerably missed out on by those who had actually had contact with him.

He kept that Alao-Akala lived a satisfied life.

Alao stated “I got with shock, news of the passage to eternal life of Gov. Adebayo Alao Akala, the previous Governor of Oyo State.

“I remember His Excellency’s suggestions on my numerous check outs to his Amazing Grace Residence. Especially, his role in my defection to the APC as far back as April 2021, which later on ended up being reality after my see to him on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
