Chelsea have signed skilled centre-back, Travis Akomeah from Premier League competitors, Watford.

This was revealed by transfer professional, Fabrizio Romano, in a tweet by means of his Twitter handle on Monday night.

Romano said that Chelsea beat the similarity Liverpool and Bournemouth for Akomeah’s signature.

He tweeted, “Waiting for first-team fullback to get here quickly … Chelsea sign talented 16-year-old centre back Travis Akomeah from Watford.

“Agreement reached and paperworks now signed. #CFC @TheSecretScout.

“Liverpool and Bournemouth were pressing too but Akomeah’s signing up with Chelsea.”

On the other hand, Chelsea are currently in the second position on the Premier League table with 43 points from 21 games.

Chelsea’s next fixture is against Tottenham on Wednesday in the EFL Cup semi-final second leg.

Thomas Tuchel’s side had defeated Tottenham 2-0 in the first-leg a few days ago.
