Wak-in service for visa applicants has been suspended by the United Kingdom.

The Flexi Appointment service suspension, however is a short-term procedure, according to the UK federal government.

The service allows the submission of applications throughout the opening hours of the visa application centre (VAC) or in the past and after the applicant’s scheduled appointment date.

This was disclosed in a declaration released on Monday January 10.

The UK stated the choice to suspend the service is for the safety of consumers.

The statement checks out: “To protect the safety of customers waiting beyond our Visa Application Centres, the Flexi Appointment (walk-in) service has been temporarily suspended. You will not be able to book one of these visits online or by turning up at the VAC.

“If you have actually already spent for this service (before 10 January) then you can still gain from this.

“You must not participate in the VAC up until it is your designated visit time, or you have been called by TLS to gather your passport.

“Visa customers who turn up at the VAC substantially before their visit will be asked to return and leave at the right date and time.

“Where there are engaging or exceptionally thoughtful scenarios (for instance, medical emergency), UKVI might think about speeding up specific cases.

“However, the bar for this is high and will be examined on a case-by-case basis. If your demand is incredibly immediate you can call UK Visas and Immigration for assistance. Please note that this is a chargeable service for abroad customers.

“If you have not yet been gotten in touch with by TLS, this indicates your application is still being processed by the UKVI group and the VAC will not be able to help you.

“The personnel in the VACs are not involved in the processing of UK visa decisions and are unable to provide updates on your application.”

The UK included that it was dealing with scheduling more visits in order to attend to the a great deal of applications on student visas.

“We are aware that large numbers of prospective students are queuing beyond the Visa Application Centre (VAC) to secure a visa and attempt visit,” the declaration reads.
