Jokin Aperribay, president of Real Sociedad, confirmed that Rafinha’s arrival at the Basque club is very close to happening. He will join on loan without the option to buy.

Rafinha is close to returning to La Liga. Real Sociedad will be the destination of the Spanish-Brazilian player, who will leave Paris Saint-Germain in January in search of playing time.

Jokin Aperribay, president of the ‘txuri-urdin’ club, has practically confirmed the arrival of the former Barcelona and Celta Vigo player. The only thing missing is medical to make it official.

“The conversation with Rafinha dates back to before December. Another thing is that it has come out now. He is a mature player, with experience in La Liga, who knows Real, who was very excited about coming here and who can help us achieve our objectives,” Aperribay told ‘El Diario Vasco’.

One of the keys is that Rafinha will help replace Silva when the Canary Islander is out: “It’s not easy to replace a player like him when he’s missing. But it’s not just about Silva. Merino and Oyarzabal have also been injured in the positions where Rafinha can play”.

The Paris Saint-Germain player will arrive at Anoeta on loan for the current season. However, as ‘RMC Sport’ reported, there will be no buyout clause.
