Premier League to ask clubs about use of VAR
Six Liverpool players have been included in the UEFA Champions League team of this week.
UEFA released the Champions League team in a post via its website on Thursday afternoon following the conclusion of the week’s round of 16 second-leg tie on Wednesday night.
The six Liverpool players are Trent Alexander-Arnold, Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah, Ozan Kabak, Nathaniel Phillips and Fabinho.
The Reds players made the list alongside Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper, Keylor Navas, among others.
Recall that Liverpool defeated RB Leipzig 2-0, thanks to goals from Salah and Mane.
Below is the UEFA Champions League team after this week’s round of 16 second-leg fixtures:
Goalkeeper: Keylor Navas (PSG) – 10 points
Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool) – 9 points, Ozan Kabak (Liverpool) – 8 points
Nathaniel Phillips (Liverpool) – 10 points
Midfielders: Federico Chiesa (Juventus) – 11 points, Sérgio Oliveira (Porto) – 13 points, Fabinho (Liverpool) – 9 points, Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – 9 points, Sadio Mané (Liverpool) – 8 points
