Ukraine vs Russia: Aisha Buhari requires ‘calm’

President Muhammadu Buhari’s other half, Aisha, has signed up with Nigerian moms and dads in prayers and uniformity for the safe evacuation of their kids and Nigerian trainees trapped in the struggling nation of Ukraine.

She expressed her position on Friday in her Instagram account.

Mrs Buhari, however, commended the Federal Government’s regulation on the evacuation of 5,600 Nigerian trainees trapped in Ukraine.

She composed: “In view of the state of heightened insecurity in Ukraine, I stand with all Nigerian parents in wishing international peace and human solidarity.

“I applaud the instructions of (the) federal government and your house of Representatives for the evacuation of our more than 5,600 trainees caught in the dispute.

She added, “The Minister of Foreign Affairs must treat this matter as an emergency situation, while our citizens ought to remain calm, comply with security treatments and avoid self-help in order to prevent the mischief of human traffickers.”

On Thursday, Russia attacked Ukraine after weeks of increasing political stress.

The dispute intensified on Friday, with reports of battling within the capital city of Kyiv.
