The federal government has been told to act instantly and rescue Nigerians residing in Ukraine.

This follows Nigerians in the country sobbed out on social media after Russia assaulted Ukrainian cities early on Thursday morning.

They claimed the Nigerian embassy in Ukraine had previously provided assurances to be calm that nothing was going to take place.

On the contrary, they started hearing surges and gunshots today and they no longer feel safe.

They were able to make it to the train station however they are now stranded as many people are attempting to leave the city at once.
