2023 presidency: Saraki responds as Tinubu tells youths to wait on him

Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, states youths have a big function to play in the 2023 presidential and basic elections. The two-time Governor of Kwara State spoke at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Women’s Leaders Meeting in Abuja.

Saraki reacted to the guidance by ex-Lagos State Governor, Bola Tinubu, asking youths to wait on him to be president.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) leader made the comment throughout a visit to the Alaafin of Oyo on Sunday.

“If you end up being the president, you want to chase us from the streets? You’ll become old and be president but after me”, Tinubu stated.

Responding to a concern on the remark, Saraki mentioned that young Nigerians and ladies formed bulk of citizens.

“I hear a lot of political leaders stating that today. (telling youths to wait after 2023). We ought to check their records.
