Lagos-Ibadan rail: Nigerians would have been trekking– Buhari thanks China

President Muhammadu Buhari, on Tuesday, stated Nigerians would have been travelling the Lagos-Ibadan rail was not finished.

He spoke at a conference with a delegation from Kaduna led by Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli, and Deputy Governor, Hadiza Balaraba.

The President said despite decreasing resources, his resolve was to deal with facilities deficit.

Buhari worried that no country can advance without rail, power and roadway.

“Nigerians are competitive by nature, and they will face their services when there’s rail, road and power.

“The people from South-West can tell better due to the fact that between Lagos and Ibadan by now, if we hadn’t done what we did, individuals would have been travelling.

Buhari thanked international community, “China and Chinese financiers, who came along to support the Lagos-Ibadan transportation projects”.
