A heavy storm that accompanied the early rains of the year in Ondo State has created chaos in Irese community, Ifedore Local Government Area of state,

The rainstorm, which occurred on Friday night, ruined numerous homes, consisting of the community’s health centre, city hall, and schools, to name a few, leaving most of people homeless.

It likewise wreaked havoc on a church and a poultry farm in the town, causing damage worth countless naira.

Following the occurrence, the homeowners lamented the storm’s terrible effect on them and their income.

Some of the victims stated without immediate federal government assistance, it will be challenging to get their lives back on track due to the high cost of building products.

According to a few of them, the rainstorm lasted numerous hours and blew off the roofs of most of the structures.

Speaking on the disaster, which likewise ravaged parts of his palace, the Olurese of Irese neighborhood, Oba Destiny Saka, said the magnitude of the catastrophe was beyond the neighborhood’s monetary capability.

The king mentioned, “I urge Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and other representatives of the location to come to the assistance of the victims, who are primarily pensioners.”
