Many Homeless As Fire Destroys Internally Displaced Persons’ Camp In Borno
According to a report by SaharaReporters, a fire break out at an Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) camp in the Muna basic location, in the Jere Local Government Area of Borno State has actually rendered numerous homeless.
The fire break out, which happened on Friday, damaged some shelters.
Witnesses say the fire began with a shelter and quickly spread to adjacent accommodation in the location.
It was discovered that no life was lost due to the incident but a few people sustained minor injuries while attempting to put out the fire.
In November 2021, about 205 tents were burnt in the Muna camp.
