Gunmen presumed to be bandits have actually killed a bike rider in Kwoi, Jaba Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The gunmen had abducted the okada rider and demanded for a ransom of N30,000.

A source informed DAILY POST in Kaduna on the condition of anonymity that the deceased pals had assisted him to contribute the cash, thinking he will be launched, but they later found his corpse in a bush near to the neighborhood.

“He was abducted on 13/01/2022 in Kwoi. His pals were required to contribute the ransom to secure his release however the bandits still declined to launch him after getting the money. They later killed him.”

Confirming the incident, district head of the community, Mr. Yunusa Idris said, “as quickly as the friends contributed the money for his release, everyone in the community was expecting him, however his remains was found.

“The N30,000 ransom they required was paid by his pals however was not launched due to the fact that they (bandits) demanded more money which, was not paid,” he said
