Ekiti APC primary: Why I’ll no longer challenge Oyebanji’s victory in court– Bamidele

Opeyemi Bamidele, Ekiti Central Senator and governorship candidate in the just-concluded primary election of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state, has actually guaranteed that he won’t challenge the triumph of the party’s candidate, Hon. Biodun Oyebanji, in court.

Bamidele discussed that his decision remains in the interest of the party’s unity and cohesion.

He kept in mind that though he still harbours resentment against the January 27 primary, which he described as a sham, charade and ostentatious abrasion of democracy principles, he will not flaw from the APC.

Recall that after the primary election, the previous governorship candidate had threatened to challenge the outcome of the primary poll that produced Oyebanji as the party’s candidate.

He had said the result of the survey was brazenly manipulated and manipulated by Governor Abubakar Badaru-led APC committee.

However, the Senator recanted his earlier position, after crucial stakeholders appealed to him to sheathe his sword.

One is to say that I have selected to drop the choice of litigating to sue the party.

“The other is to make it clear to everyone that both my fans and I will not problem from APC. When my supporters and I resolve Ekiti individuals and Nigerians at big, details of the reasons which notified these choices will be communicated at a later date. It is not just about me.

“It is about the unity and development of Ekiti State and her politically weakened and financially afflicted people.”

Bamidele, however, promised to guarantee that his followers who have been isolated from the mainstream of the party become relevant.

He stated his followers have contributed to constructing the celebration in Ekiti State, thus the decision making process can not be an “unique protect of a few.”
