Lagos traffic burglar sent to prison weeks after gaining back liberty
A traffic robber detained last week by the Lagos Rapid Response Squad (RRS) has actually been sentenced to 2 years imprisonment.
The RRS, in a declaration on Tuesday, said Lookman Ojo, 25, was apprehended early Friday early morning at Ojota under bridge.
The convict and others were captured while dispossessing a cars and truck driver of his belongings.
In September 2021, Ojo was caught for traffic burglary around Alapere, inward Ogudu. He was re-arrested 2 weeks after regaining flexibility.
Ojo informed officers that aside from assaulting occupants of costly cars, he and colleagues rob vehicle drivers in Ojota, Mile 12 and Ketu.
“I am a bus conductor and whenever I have no bus to deal with, I ask for money in traffic. We gather money from trucks bring items, abundant guys and females with flashy cars and trucks.
“Early in the early morning and in the evening, many of us pertain to Ojota and Ketu to rob. I am not the only one. Much of us do it, we are simply attempting to survive”, he stated.
The main school dropout revealed that he discovered welding for 17 years and moved to Lagos to collect money for his graduation and working tools.
