Senegal forward, Sadio Mane, has actually received congratulatory messages from his Liverpool colleagues following his accomplishment at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) on Sunday night.

Hair led Senegal to beat Mohamed Salah-led Egypt in the 2021 AFCON final at the Paul Biya Stadium, Olembé, in Cameroon at the weekend.

The previous Southampton star scored the winning charge as Senegal defeated Egypt 4-2 on a charge shoot-out following a 0-0 draw after 120 minutes.

After winning the 2021 AFCON trophy, Mane and his Senegal colleagues commemorated.

On Monday morning, Mane posted a photo of himself with the trophy, while using his winners’ medal on Instagram.

The Liverpool number 10 presented in his bed together with the trophy, accompanied with the caption: “Alhamdoulilah,” which equated to “Thank God” in Arabic.

Reacting, some of his Liverpool teammates, past and present, discussed the post to send their messages of congratulations to the 29-year-old.

Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson composed: “Congratulations Sadio,” while Virgil van Dijk and Adrian posted a heart emoji, a hand-clapping and a raised hand emoji.

On his part, Neco Williams posted a number of hand-clapping emojis, while previous Liverpool gamer, Xherdan Shaqiri wrote: “Congrats my bro.”

Mane is expected to go back to Liverpool later on today.
