Napoli defender, Kalidou Koulibaly, has named Chelsea’s Eduoard Mendy as the best goalkeeper on the planet. Koulibaly stated this while reacting to Senegal’s 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, last victory against Egypt on Sunday.

Senegal beat Egypt 4-2 in a charge shootout to win their first AFCON in Cameroon.

Speaking at his post-match interview, Koulibaly, who captained Senegal to defeat Egypt, said: “We feel happy.

“We understood it would be difficult to win the Africa Cup of Nations, but today we made it.

“Our group should have to win this title. We had actually been looking for this for a very long time and now we have it. This team is splendid.

“It was a hard video game and a hard competition. We made it with our team and our power.

“Our goalkeeper is the best worldwide and we win the title.”
