Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang close to joining Barcelona from Arsenal

Arsenal striker, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, is close to signing up with Barcelona this January transfer window.

According to Sky Sports, Barcelona remain in sophisticated talks with Arsenal to sign Aubameyang on loan.

Barcelona and Arsenal have not consented to the deal yet, however there is increased confidence it can be finished prior to the January transfer window closes on Monday night.

The LaLiga giants would not have an alternative to make Aubameyang’s switch permanent, and conversations continue over just how much of the 32-year-old’s earnings they would cover.

The offer would see Aubameyang move to the Nou Camp till completion of the season.

DAILY POST reports that Aubameyang was eradicated from Arsenal’s first-team by manager, Mikel Arteta, after a disciplinary breach resulted in him being stripped of the captain’s armband.

The Gabon global last played for Arsenal on December 6, 2021.
