Fayose’s greasy prospect, Kolawole wins Ekiti PDP main

Chief Bisi Kolawole, the anointed prospect of Ayodele Fayose, a previous Governor of Ekiti State, has been declared winner of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election hung on Wednesday.

Candidates who objected to the elections in addition to Bisi Kolawole are Engineer Segun Oni, Professor Kolapo Olusola, Yinka Akerele, Deji Ogunsakin, Lateef Ajijola, Wale Aribisala, Ayodeji Kazeem and Kayode Adaramodu

DAILY POST recalls that Senator Biodun Olujimi withdrew declaring abnormalities.

Kolawole was declared the winner by the Chairman, Electoral Committee of the celebration, Governor Emmanuel Udom of Akwa Ibom State.

He said Kolawole won the election having actually scored the highest variety of votes cast.

Data from the survey consist of: void votes 13, Adekemi Adewumi 1, Biodun Olujimi, 2, Lateef Ajijola 1, Ayodeji Kazeem, 6, Kayode Adaramodu 10, Professor Kolapo Olusola scored 93, Adewale Aribisala, 56, Segun Oni 330, Bisi Kolawole 671

The election, which was held at the Eagle Hall, Ado Ekiti, began with accreditation of delegates at Pope John Paul 2 Pastoral Centre, Ikere Road, Ado Ekiti.

The election was held in a serene atmosphere as armed policeman were present to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

Resolving journalists, Udom appreciated party members for their screen of maturity and cooperation which caused the success of the survey.

He kept in mind that the election was devoid and transparent of any adjustment.

He called on the winner to be magnanimous in victory while those who lost need to be strong in defeat.
