Lagos Announces End Of COVID-19 4th Wave
Prof Akin Abayomi Prof. Akin Abayomi, the Lagos State Commissioner for Health, has disclosed that the constant decline in COVID-19 case positivity suggested completion of the fourth wave in the state.Abayomi revealed this through his verified Twitter account @ProfAkinolaAbayomi today, while offering the state’s COVID-19 update for January. 20.
The state had on December 7 announced the beginning of the fourth wave as the day-to-day infection figure from the infection spiked.Abayomi said that there was a reduction in positivity rates of COVID-19 infection from 29.3 percent recorded on Dec. 21, to 1.9 per cent since Jan 20. According to him, bed capability utilisation now stands at 2 per cent, and casualty rate stands at 0.71 percent. ToriNG
