How I Escaped Death From Fraudsters Disguised As Kannywood Producers– Victim Reveals
The suspect Musa Ahmad, a 23-year-old man, of Riminkebe Quarters in Kano, has told how he got away death from scammers that promised to include him in among the popular Kannywood series motion pictures, Kwana Casa’in aired by Arewa 24 channel.
The victim said he when received a message from the suspect, Abubakar Jibrin of Danbatta Local Government Area of Kano, on Facebook that there was a job in the film if he was interested, requesting him to pay the sum of N200,000 however later on settled at N70,000 just.
According to him, on 31st December 2021, the suspect deceived him and took him to Danbatta where he collected the cash and asked him to invest the night at his home.
“In the early morning, when I understood he is a fraudster I asked him to provide me back my cash because I didn’t want to get associated with the film anymore. However he declined and conspired with his pal; together, they pressed me inside a close-by structure.
“He and his pal attempted to kill me as they tried to push me inside a well however I luckily got away. He brought out a sharp knife and attempted to cut my throat. I luckily escaped but they gathered my phones,” the victim narrated.
He stated after getting away with cuts on his throat, he rushed to the Danbatta Police Station for rescue, where he was taken to medical facility.
Nevertheless, after getting the problem, the Kano State Police Command advised a group of Operation Puff Adder led by CSP Ubangari Usman Shehu to jail the offenders, as mentioned by the spokesperson of the Command DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa.

Speaking when he was paraded by the authorities, the suspect, Abubakar Jibril said, “I did all that the victim has stated but it was an act of the devil that forced me.
“I regret my actions and will never repeat them. Even the cash I gathered and the phones are with my friend Abdullahi, I didn’t utilize it at all,” he said.
