The Governor of Cross River, Ben Ayade has stated he will run for president in 2023 if the All Progressives Congress (APC) considers him.

Ayade stated this while speaking on Sunrise Daily, a Channels television programme on Wednesday.

While responding to a question on if he will object to for the presidency in 2023 on the platform of the APC, the Governor stated the celebration needs to decide based on zoning.

“I think the celebration needs to take a decision based upon zoning principles which would be dealt with as a party.

“Let me say, yes and no. Yes if the household (APC) finds that I am healthy and proper. If the household finds that there is a much better choice which alternative fits into the zoning (arrangement), obviously, I will stand by the celebration’s position.

“I am a conformist; I stand with the system. I have never ever been an aberrant. I work with the system,” Ayade stated.
