Governor Mohammed Badaru Abubakar Guv Mohammed Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa state has said that Nigerian guvs no longer use convoys of 30 to 40 vehicles to lower cost.Speaking throughout an interview on Channels Television which aired on Monday night, January 17, the northern guv stated his colleagues didn’t want to invest public funds needlessly.

“All the guvs attempt to look inwards on their spendings. You do not see guvs going in a convoy of 30, 40 automobiles. You see us mostly now with three or four lorries,” he stated.

“Most of the governors have actually dropped unneeded expense to reduce the expense of governance. That is the primary step to decrease the cost of governance.”

He then added that state governors are prioritising employment in the education and health sectors.
