Kebbi attack: How outlaws running away Zamfara killed 16 Nigerians– Police

The Police in Kebbi State, on Monday, stated 16 individuals, not 50, were killed by outlaws in Dankade

village on Friday. A variety of armed men attacked the neighborhood in Danko/Wsaagu Local Government Area of the state. Public Relations Officer, DSP Nafi’u Abubakar told News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) the deceased include security operatives.

He said the occurrence happened around 3.00 pm as bandits coming from Zamfara attacked the Dankade and killed 13 civilians, 1 law enforcement officer and 2 soldiers.

“Police patrol teams mobilised to the village and engaged them, resulting in the loss of one of our law enforcement officer and two army personnel.

“Thirteen civilians were killed. We removed unknown number of bandits in the duel”, the PRO noted.

The spokesman further validated that the crooks set some houses ablaze.

Abubakar said investigation had actually started and advised the people to assist with information about the criminals.
