Shooters invade Federal University in Nasarawa, kidnap 4 students

Gunmen believed to be bandits have abducted some students of Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State.

It was found out that the students were abducted by the shooters at the university neighborhood in Mararaba school.

Verifying the occurrence, the University’s Public Relation Officer, Abubakar Ibrahim, exposed that four students were abducted.

He stated that the gunmen attacked the university at about 11:30 pm on Thursday and whisked the trainees to an undisclosed area.

The statement read: “The authority of the Federal University of Lafia regrets to announce that 4 students of the organization were abducted by unknown gunmen on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at around 11:30 p.m.

“The unfortunate kidnap event took place at a community, Mararaba, located near to the university.”

Ibrahim guaranteed that serious efforts were being taken to guarantee quick rescue of the victims.

“The Vice-Chancellor, who has actually given that gone to the area where the trainees were abducted, likewise checked out the Nasarawa Police command where he formally informed the commissioner of Police about the kidnapping of the trainees,” the statement added.
