Anja Ringgren Loven, an Akwa Ibom-based Danish help worker, and her group have rescued a little boy who was discovered naked in the bush in Eket.

According to Ms Loven, the kid was completely beaten, abused and in serious pain when he was found few days earlier.

In a Facebook post on Thursday January 13, the aid worker stated that the young boy is likewise really traumatized and had not spoken a word since her husband, David saved him.

“It has been an awful week. A few days ago David found a little young boy tossed into the bushes along side the road. The young boy was not using any clothing. He was beaten and seriously abused,” she told.

David immediately called the police and took the kid to the hospital and called Land of Hope nurse Itoro to meet him there.

The young boy is on constant analgesic due to serious pain. Yesterday we got the outcome of the x-ray taken of his leg and it shows how completely he has actually been beaten. The kid is also very traumatized and has not spoken a word given that David rescued him.
