How A Mother Of Two Alleged Defrauded Her Would-Be Husband Of N10 Million In Kaduna

Fatima Sanusi, a mother of 2, has been arraigned prior to a Chief Magistrates Court sitting in Barnawa, Kaduna State for defrauding her would-be-groom of N10million 10 days to their wedding.

The suspect, our correspondent collected, was to get wed to the complainant, Umar Oruma, when she backed out 10 days to their wedding event.

Daily Trust further gathered that all plans had been concluded for the marriage before the accused changed her mind and rather, married the dad of her kids.

The application for issuance of criminal summons stated, “The plaintiff and the offender started dating in July, 2020 and after a long courtship, the complainant proposed to the defendant in January, 2021 which the defendant accepted.

“Based on the offender’s approval to wed the plaintiff, the accused began gathering money from the complainant with the belief that all her duties which of her children and parents are to be catered by the complainant.

“From the day you promised to wed the complaint, he has actually used up N6.7 million on you which you know and he has used up nothing less than N3.2 million in preparation for the wedding event.”

The court admitted her to N500,00 bail with 2 sureties in like amount.

Among them should be a relation of the accused dealing with a relevant organsation and the other a neighbour.
