EPL: Man Utd forward set to join Premier League competitors for free
Tottenham Hotspur are aiming to sign Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard on a complimentary transfer in the summer season, ESPN reports.
Lingard’s present agreement at Old Trafford expires in June. And the 29-year-old is not likely to agree fresh terms.
Spurs are among a host of clubs who are keen to sign Lingard.
There has been interest from other Premier League clubs, in addition to teams in Spain and Italy.
Although Tottenham have actually registered their interest in Lingard, they are yet to make a formal deal.
Lingard is evaluating his alternatives and will go where he is most likely to find regular first-team football.
This season, he has made just 13 appearances for United, following an effective loan spell at West Ham.
