Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has congratulated Joe Biden for emerging victorious at the United States, US presidential election.

Saraki, while congratulating Kamala Harris who also emerged first woman of colour to be elected vice-president, described the election as historic.

Saraki tweeted, “I congratulate the former Vice-President of the United States, @JoeBiden, on his historic election as the next President of the United States.

“I also congratulate Senator @KamalaHarris, who will be the first female Vice-President of the world’s most vibrant democracy.”

Biden now becomes the 46th American President and also the oldest candidate ever elected to the White House.
