File picture A man who was alleged to be a motorcycle snatcher was on Saturday scorched to death by a mob in Kurudu neighborhood of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Kurudu is in Karu District of the Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

A homeowner, Umar Idris, told City & & Crime that the suspect, along with two others, were proceeding a bike when they stopped an industrial motorcyclist to bring one of them.

Idris said, “One of them joined the Okada man, however instantly the Okada man noticed some foul play he raised alarm and two of them escaped.

“The third person brought out a knife but was overpowered and the mob struck him with sticks and other items and later burnt him alive.”

When contacted, the FCT police spokesperson, DSP Josephine Adeh, said the matter was yet to be reported to the authorities.

DSP Adeh, nevertheless, stated the authorities resented criminality, however included that self-help in getting justice, commonly called jungle justice, was incorrect.
