EPL: Rangnick names ‘fantastic’ midfielder he allowed to leave Man United

Manchester United manager, Ralf Rangnick has actually described Donny Van de Beek as a wonderful player and wished the Dutchman best of luck at Everton.

Having struggled to make any favorable effect at Old Trafford, van de Beek left Manchester United on loan to Everton for the remainder of the season.

Van de Beek, who joined United from Ajax in 2020, left United on loan to Everton on deadline day.

And Rangnick, who resolved the press on Thursday ahead of United’s FA Cup clash with Middlesbrough on Friday, opened the door for the Dutchman to go back to the club in the summer and recover his place in the team.

Rangnick said, “In the end, it is a question of competition. He didn’t get enough game time, however that is not to say he is not good enough to play in the Premier League or for Manchester United.

“I am quite sure he will get video game time at Everton and show what kind of quality gamer he can be. He is a fantastic individual.

“In the last 9 or ten weeks whilst I have been familiar with him personally, I am fully conscious he is a fantastic group player and I wish him all the absolute best.”
