How Gunmen Cut Off My Hands, Stripped Me N * ked– Mechanic Recounts Travails

Daily Trust reports that Mr Yahaya Muhammed Galadima, a 25-year-old mechanic who had his 2 hands cut off by shooters has recounted his travails.

Galadima, who specialises in repairing J5 lorries, was stated to be ambushed while returning from Rukubi, Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.

It was gathered that he was returning house from Rukubi after repairing a client’s J5 lorry when he was assaulted.

The victim is presently receiving treatment at the Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital, in Lafia Local Government.

Stating the experience, Galadima, siad that the occurrence took place around 8 pm on Tuesday.

He stated, “It happened around 8 pm on Tuesday night. I was with one of my boys, Salisu Haruna, who followed me to Rukubi, in Doma Local Government Area of the State. We went there on my motorcycle to work in one of my consumer’s homes as his J5 had actually established some mechanical fault.

“While on our way back from Agbabo along Rukubi prior to Yeluwa, all of a sudden, we were assailed. Before we understood what was happening both people felt off my bike and my kid sustained some injuries on his left leg. However, they didn’t harm my kid.”

According to him, after they prospered in stopping them, they began shooting sporadically into the air, asking that he ought to give them cash. He immediately handed over all the money he had on him, including his mobile phone.

Galadima disclosed that after they had actually caused numerous matchete injuries on him, they nabbed his motorcycle.

“Before asking them what was wrong, they cut off my two hands,” he added.

Asked if his boy was likewise assaulted, Galadima described saying, “My young boy was not hurt at all. He was seeing helplessly how they cut off my hand.”

When called, the Nasarawa State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nansel Ramhan, said the command is yet to be notified about the regrettable occurrence.

Ramhan, however, restated that the command would do whatever humanly possible to make sure that those behind the act would be detained and prosecuted to act as a deterrent to others.

The PPRO even more appealed to the members of the public that anybody with useful info that will result in the arrest of the perpetrators must report to the closest police headquarters in the state.
