Leading Nollywood star, Kanayo O. Kanayo, has actually refuted claims that sex-for-roles exist in the Nigerian

film market. The star on his Instagram page prompted Nigerians to neglect people with such viewpoints about

the industry. He mentioned that it was an embarassment that numerous ladies in the market are

not striving enough. He wrote, “When you become aware of sex-for-roles in Nollywood, please do not believe all you are told.

“Many of the ladies are not working hard to measure up to the roles they are cast for. Rather a pity.”
