Cristiano Ronaldo responds to winning FIFA Special Best Award

Manchester United forward, Cristiano Ronaldo has stated that it was a terrific honour and privilege for him to win the FIFA Special Best Award.

Ronaldo was awarded the FIFA Special Best Award on Monday night in Zurich, Switzerland.

The Portugal captain was recognized for becoming the highest-scoring male in global football history.

The 36-year-old just recently exceeded Iranian legend, Ali Daei’s 109 worldwide goals record.

Reacting after winning the award, Ronaldo, in a post by means of his Instagram account, said: “The FIFA Special Best Award is an incredible honor and a huge benefit. The truth that such a relevant organization chose to acknowledge me as the Top Goalscorer in the history of FIFA competitors is, for me, the pinnacle of my specific accomplishments in representation of my cherished country.

“Now, it’s up to me to turn this award into additional fuel and inspiration to help accomplishing all our goals at Man. United for this season, as well as to the upcoming play-off matches in March, so that Portugal can be at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, and we can all keep writing this fantastic story together.

“Last however not least, a special word to all the incredible gamers that represented Portugal by my side over the last twenty years, and to all the international gamers that I faced many times all around the globe.
