Nigerian players across Europe were in brilliant forms for their respective clubs last week.

There were goals, impressive midfield shifts and defensive recovering from Nigerian players over the weekend.

With lots of action from the English Premier League to the Turkish Super League, there was a record of Nigerians who dazzled for their respective clubs.

Following the performance of Nigerian players abroad, DAILY POST takes a look at the weekend round-up of some of these footballers and how they fared across Europe.

Premier League

Ademola Lookman was on from start to finish for his Fulham side and produced an individual charisma to give his side the lead in the 77th minutes.

Other Nigerian contingents like Tosin Adarabioyo and Ola Aina also lasted the entire duration of the game for Fulham in the defence.

Elsewhere, Kelechi Iheanacho was in action for 71st minutes before he was replaced by Algeria’s Islam Slimane in Leicester City 0-1 home

loss to the improved Aston Villa side.

Anglo-Nigerian midfielder Ross Barkley grabbed a 90th minutes winner for Aston Villa aftermath of his loan move from Chelsea.

Sky Bet Championship

Nigerian hopeful Sheyi Ojo scored the winning goal for Cardiff City as they defeated Preston North End 0-1 at home.

He was replaced by Will Vaulks in the 79th minute of the match. He scored in the 52nd minutes following an assist from Kieffer Moore.

La Liga Santander

Samuel Chukwueze was involved for Villarreal as they defeated Spanish giants Valencia 2-1 at the weekend.

The youngster lasted for 64 minutes before he made away for former Arsenal midfielder, Francis Coquelin.

Goztepe’s & Nigeria duo of Brown Ideye and Obinna Nwobodo were in action as they lost 2-3 at home to Turkish giants Fenerbahce.

Brown Ideye lasted the distance while Obinna Nwobodo was brought on in the 56th minute replacing Andrew Biyogo Poko in the match proceedings.

Both Ideye and Nwobodo were booked in the 60th and 65th minute of the game.

Russia-Premier League

CSKA Moscow forward and new signing Chidera Ejuke was in action for his side at the weekend.

He lasted 62nd minute and was replaced by Nayair Tiknizyan. Ejuke was on target in the 54th minute to make it 2-0 for his side following an assist from Viktor Vasin. CSKA Moscow defeated Dinamo Moscow 3-1.
