President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Lieutenant Colonel Y.M. Dodo as his new Aide-De-Camp (ADC), Channels Television reports.

Dodo replaces Colonel Muhammad Abubakar, who has been in the role since 2015.

The channel quoted State House sources as saying that Colonel Abubakar is leaving the position to attend a course.

It reports that Abubakar requires the course for his promotion to Brigadier-General.

Dodo, until his new appointment, was the Academy Adjutant of the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna.

Buhari in his hometown Daura, Katsina state at the moment attending his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC Membership Registration.
