Hanifa Abubakar: Shekarau pledges to look for justice for 5-year-old pupil murdered in Kano

The Senator representing Kano Central, Ibrahim Shekarau, has promised to personally investigate the death of a 5-year-old pupil, Hanifa Abubakar, in

Kano State. Recall that the body of Hanifa was found in a shallow tomb at Noble Kids School after she was kidnapped in December 2021.

Abdulmalik Tanko, owner of the school, who was apprehended with his accomplice, confessed to killing her after kidnapping the student in December.

He offered the minor rat poison after demanding a ransom of N6m from the household in which N100,000 was raised for the abductor.

Shekarau in a declaration by his media assistant, Sule Yau Sule, had compassion with the departed household.

The previous Kano State Governor assured the household that he will guarantee the deceased gets justice.

Shekarau said, “A heartless murder like this needs to not be swept under the carpet.

“We will follow the case to its sensible conclusion.”

The previous governor hoped to Almighty Allah to grant the household the perseverance to bear the loss.
