The Board and Management of Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH) have refuted the information circulating on social media, claiming that ABSUTH has turned to Sen. Kalu to pay salary arrears.

This is coming barely one week after Government commenced the payment of the arrears as earlier promised by the Governor.

Chairman of the Governing Council, ABSUTH, Dr Wokoh Davidson, in a statement made available to DAILY POST said that the institution frowns seriously at such outlandish calls that has no substance.

According to him, ABSUTH is not aware of such visit to any Senator.

He also stated that ABSUTH did not and will never authorize such a statement.

”The Government of Abia State led by Dr Okezie Victor Ikpeazu Ph.D. has shown genuine interest and is determined to clear the salary arrears – as the first tranche of payment was received recently.

“The Board and Management of ABSUTH are grateful to the State Government and believe in her genuine interest in revitalizing the Hospital,” he added.
